Abstract Submission Form

Abstract submission is now closed

Welcome to the Understanding Society Scientific Conference Abstract Submission Form.

The Understanding Society Scientific Conference provides an international forum for the exchange of research based on household panel studies. An important aim of the event is to bring together people from different disciplines and to share research covering a broad range of themes.

We are seeking abstracts for three types of presentations:

  • Oral presentations in parallel sessions (20 minute presentations plus 10 minutes for questions)
  • Poster presentations
  • Workshop or symposium (90 minutes) that include 3-4 papers, and allow plenty of time for discussion. For symposium/workshops please provide an overall abstract and one for each paper.

This year, we particularly welcome abstracts that focus on:

We are keen to showcase innovative statistical methods and research that is policy relevant.

The deadline for abstract submission is Midnight (GMT), Monday 11th February 2019.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the conference organising committee and authors of successful submissions will be notified by the end of March 2019.

Before continuing to complete this form, please ensure you have read the Abstract Guidelines as this document provides important information on how you should submit your abstract.

Should you have any queries throughout the abstract submission process, please contact Nicola Hardaker at Hg3 Conferences at
